Description:  This vintage Bob Ackermann alto mouthpiece was made from a Bari blank.

Bob Ackerman started playing saxophone at the age of nine in New Jersey. His career choice was influenced at young age by listening to Coleman Hawkins, Roy Eldrige, Gene Krup and Charlie Parker in nearby New York City. After attending Columbia University and private studies with Joe Allard and others, he started a prolific career as a performance and recording saxophonist. His own line of saxophones and mouthpieces is based on more than 20 years of experience with vintage instruments and mouthpieces.
