Description:  On the left is a vintage Brilhart Levelaire metal tenor mouthpiece.

From the 1930s, Arnold Brilhart was a popular radio and recording saxophonist. During the 1940s, Brilhart mouthpiece became very popular, which prompted Arnold Brilhart to contact a French saxophone company to tool up for an own line of Brilhart saxophones. The picture on the right shows him in 1994 around the time of his 90th birthday with a Brilhart alto saxophone, the only saxophone ever made under the name of Brilhart. in 1967, the Brilhart company was sold to Selmer and Brilhart took an employment at Rico International.
