Herbert Couf
Herbert ‘Herb’ Couf was a member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, but after being layed-off during the 1957 depression, he started his own band instrument store ‘The Royal Music Center’ in Royal Oak, Michigan, and later produced an own line of saxophones and mouthpieces. Herb Couf later became Vice President of W. T. Armstrong upon selling his line of instruments to Armstrong.
