Description:  These hard rubber mouthpieces feature a round chamber and are hand-faced. They were hand made by Claude Lakey between 1950 and 1980.

Texas-born Claude Lakey is a master of many wood- and brass-wind instruments who played in the Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller orchestras, among many others.  As a professional player, he always had an interest in mouthpiece making and devoted more time to his own line of mouthpieces after his wife sold their music store in 1974. Claude Lakey passed away in 1990 at the age of eighty.
