The French woodwind company Noblet was established in 1750, around the same time as Leblanc. After the last Noblet family member died, the business was passed to the Leblanc family in 1904 under the leadership of George Leblanc. In 1964 the Frank Holton company was acquired, and starting in the 1960s instruments and mouthpieces were also manufactured under the Vito and other names. In 1968, the Woodwind Company was acquired, followed by the acquisition of the Martin Band Instrument company. In the year 2000, Leon Leblanc passed. Due to the relationship between Noblet, Leblanc, Vito, Holton, Curtois, and Woodwind, mouthpieces from each of these companies exist that have many similarities. As of 2010, the company is owned by Conn-Selmer.
