Description: RPC hard rubber mouthpieces are very versatile mouthpieces that are available for alto (80B model: high baffle, 90R model: roll-over baffle, round chambers), tenor (105 roll-over and 115 high baffle models), and baritone (110 roll-over and 110 high baffle models). On the left are pictures of an RPC alto model. Older models have a red (or gold, instead of blue, see below) RPC letters. The oldest models have black letters. The change in letter color did not coincide with changes in the Babbit blanks as is often claimed.
RPC mouthpieces are CNC machined from a hard rubber casting and hand finished by Ron Coelho. Each mouthpiece is then played and fined tuned using a Cannonball silver tipped bell soprano, King Super 20 alto, Jupiter tenor and Selmer low A baritone saxophones.
