Description:  These large chamber, round-wall “CV” (named after the tenor saxophonist Charlie Ventura, pictured below) mouthpieces were produced by Zimberoff from Dukoff “Hollywood” blanks. Only about 100 pieces were made in the 1940s.

Sam Zimberoff created mouthpieces in the 1940/50s in collaboration with Bob Dukoff and sold them from his “House of Note” music store in Hollywood. A small number of mouthpieces was produced only (around 150), which makes Zimberoff mouthpieces rather rare and sought-after.
